I was cruising around on my motorcycle looking for a place to eat, when I spotted Paravicini's Italian Bistro out of the corner of my eye and decided to try it out.
I wasn't exactly sure what what a bistro was; I assumed it was some kind of deli, and thought I could grab a quick sandwich or something. Much to my surprise, it turned out to be a very nice full service restaurant. You could definitely impress a date here. She might even think you knew what you were doing!
I think Paravicini's is in some kind of wormhole or something, because it looks like a tiny, shabby little thing on the outside, but once inside, it seemed much larger. It definitely wasn't a ratty little deli, but I decided to try it out anyways.
I ordered the Sausage & Peppers Sandwich, because I love sausage sandwiches, and always like to try new ones when I find 'em. It came out nice and hot and oozing provolone cheese; it looked awesome!
The title of this review really says it all. This sandwich was awesome. The bread was hard on the outside (but not too hard) and soft on the inside, with a light coating of salt. The sandwich was loaded with several varieties of peppers and tons of cheese. The sausage was full of flavor and also came with its own spicy kick, but different than the peppers, and complimented them well. the sandwich was hot, but not distractingly so.
One final observation, I really liked the layout of the restaurant. The dining area is separated from the kitchen by only a small counter by the bar, and a few bookshelves. It is very easy to see the cooks preparing your meal. The ceiling is pretty high, and the entire place feels very open.
I liked it a lot. The food, atmosphere, and service were all excellent. I'll be back!
Update: I looked up bistro, I guess this place qualifies!
