Ocean's grill just opened a week or so ago (at the old Country Buffet location next door to Best Buy), and I had to try it. I love seafood, and living in Colorado Springs sometimes makes it difficult to find (at least of good quantity, quality, variety, and price).
This is a buffet, and a fairly expensive one. With drinks, I paid over 50 bucks for my family of four. Also, I was a little surprised that it was a "Chinese" buffet, which isn't indicated on the outside at all. Almost all of their dishes are seafood dishes, however, which was exactly what I wanted.
I had 4 plates plus dessert, I'll try to briefly describe them.
This was a small plate with a couple assorted sushi rolls and a piece of tuna. I was happy to see sushi being made fresh for the buffet, and was surprised that it was actually pretty good.
Shrimp (very bland), cheese wonton (yum!), fried chicken (super dry, didn't eat it), mussel (topped with cheese, delicious).
Crab legs (good, lots of work to get the meat!), spicy clams (very good!)
More sushi: 2 tuna, 1 salmon, a couple of sushi rolls. I had to get another mussel too.
Dessert. Soft serve vanilla ice cream with candy sprinkles.
This is a darn good buffet. There were a few items that kind of sucked, but for the most part, I was very pleasantly surprised. Their sushi wasn't the best around, but it was still tasty. I could easily come here and just do the all you can eat sushi thing, which would be a great deal at 11 bucks.
