Fatburger - Because I'm Not Fat Enough Fatburger

It was shortly after 11 am and I was sitting at my desk, thinking about what I was going to eat for lunch, as usual, when I got an IM from my buddy, Z, who incidentally, sits about 10 feet away from me:

So off we went, in search of a good cheeseburger, and wound up at Fatburger

The first thing I noticed as we walked in was the music. They have a large, centrally located jukebox with a great selection of tunes on it (mostly classic rock-ish stuff). Bob Marley was wailing at us as we ordered and sat down to eat. The entire place is decorated with kind of a faux 50s theme, with signs all over the place reminding you of how great they are. It's a bit over the top, but then all 50s themed restaurants are.

Naturally we both ordered burgers. Z got his with fries, and I got the onion rings.

We both agreed that the burgers were great, but the sides were pretty bland. Next time we'll have to try the "fat" fries, because the skinny ones and the onion rings don't have much flavor.

Overall, the experience was pretty good, but 10 bucks is a lot of money to pay for a burger and fries. One nice thing was that the cashier gave us both the "Fat Tuesday" special, even though it was Wednesday - without that, it would have cost me nearly 12 bucks!
